A Pre-Purchase/House/Structural Survey is completed by an engineer for a client who is in the process of buying or building a property. During the survey we inspect the property for any defects which may be a potential problem for you in the future.
The property is inspected internally and externally.
Internal inspection involves examining the roof space, the internal finishes, the floors, the walls and the fixtures and fittings.
Externally we inspect the roof coverings, the gullies, the fascia and soffits, the windows and doors, the walls and the drains.
Plumbing, heating and electrical installations are also appraised.
It is essentially a health check for the building . If we give the building a clean bill of health then you can proceed with confidence.
If we find problems in the building then we offer advice on how to solve it. Problems identified can be costed and used as a bargaining tool in your purchase process.
